Tryouts are coming up this weekend for our U15/16/17/18 teams at University Place and our U16 in Bellevue.
We just wanted to give you all a little information about our plans for our teams this year before tryouts. In our University Place location we are planning on having a Travel and a Regional Team in all divisions at University Place.
This season DaKine Tuition for Travel teams will be $3,900.00 for the full season. This INCLUDES Uniform, shoes, two indoor hard court practices each week, one beach conditioning with open play session each week, power league, bid tournament, equipment all coaches travel and lodging costs for travel tournaments, and more. Travel and lodging costs for athletes and parents are NOT included in this cost. This tuition can be paid with a deposit on signing day with a 6 month payment plan and can be paid by cash, check or credit card.
Regional teams will participate in Power League and some other local tournaments. Our goal for each Regional Team will be to play in two tournaments per month from January through May. Tuition for regional teams is $2,900.00 for the season and includes Uniform, shoes, two indoor hard court practices each week, one beach conditioning with open play session each week, power league, equipment and more.
We encourage teams to work together to fundraise wherever possible to bring down costs for families undertaking this club season. While we do not organize fundraising we are happy to help out any way we can to help teams raise funds to bring down costs.
While these are our costs this season we do not believe that players should be denied the ability to play sports due to financial constraints. We are working on creating a “Friends of DaKine” non profit to help those who need financial aid for their children to play club volleyball. While this is still in the process of being started we encourage ALL families of DaKine to keep an eye on this and look forward to all of us working together to make this non profit a reality.
