What would you be willing to do to see your child grow and prosper? What is the legacy that you hope to leave behind?

As Dakine enters our 5th year of club volleyball we are very excited to announce that Dakine will be partnering with League One Volleyball (LOVB) starting this season. This partnership offers us the opportunity to build a legacy in the sport of volleyball that we could only dream of until now. The mission of LOVB is to fundamentally change the game. To bring a professional women’s volleyball league to the United States. We believe that in order to build a strong professional league, community-level club support is critical and we are excited about the many ways that professional volleyball can give back to our club programs.  Dakine will be one of the anchor clubs for LOVB to support a future professional team in the Pacific Northwest.

As we begin this journey with LOVB we will be working with some of the best minds in volleyball and some of the strongest clubs in the nation to leverage various League One Volleyball professional connections to continue to innovate and advance our club programs. Over the past 5 years we have established Dakine as the premier club for young volleyball athletes to train, develop, compete and be recruited to play Collegiately.  Aligning with League One will allow us to provide even better volleyball training and resources to all ages of athletes, as well as a path for these amazing young ladies to continue their careers in the professional realm here in the United States.

Club Best Practices, One of the most immediate benefits of our partnership is our ability to talk about club best practices. Over the past months we have had the opportunity at Dakine to work with exceptional clubs from across the country. This incredible group of volleyball leaders meets weekly to establish best practices in ALL areas of our game. This includes everything from training philosophies and practicalities, to drills for skill development, mental training, team building, recruiting, to the daily procedures that will make us more effective and successful.

We also would like to introduce everyone to Jamie Morrison, our National Training Director, Lauren Hansen our National Recruiting Director and Karen Bryant, Pro League development team.

Jamie Morrison, National Training Director, world-renowned coach for the US National & Olympic teams (including three Olympic medals), Dutch National Team, and most recently as an Athletes Unlimited coach is devoloping a proprietary “whole-athlete” training program for the LOVB coaches to convey with consistent top quality to all LOVB athletes.

Lauren Hansen, National Recruiting Director, coached with the Iowa Rockets Volleyball Club for 10 years; winning two national qualifiers! Over the past 15 years, she has placed over 450 athletes at the collegiate level on scholarship, both beach and indoor while assisting college transfers. Lauren has a 100% success rate! If an athlete wanted to play in college, she found them a home. She recently sold her college recruiting business to bring her national network and top caliber recruiting resources to LOVB.

Karen Bryant, Pro League Development, former CEO of the WNBA team Seattle Storm and long time sports business consultant, Karen leads the development of the LOVB professional league to make it the best in the world. As we are in Seattle, many of you are very familiar with Karen and everything she has brought to women’s athletics in the Emerald City!

There are many other exciting advancements we’ll have to offer in the months and years ahead. The moment to build this meaningful legacy for women’s volleyball is now. We are incredibly proud of all we have accomplished together building Dakine into the club it is today in only 5 short years. We could not be more excited for our OHANA to take this next step with League One Volleyball to bring professional volleyball to the United States, and to continue building Dakine as the most innovative club program in the Pacific Northwest.
