Michael has been a volleyball coach for more than 22 years. He has many years of experience in planning, developing, and implementing volleyball programs in Washington State in both beach and indoor.

Michael graduated with a bachelor’s of science, Kinesiology, from the University of Texas in Denton, TX. His strengths are in developing individual skills for the sport of volleyball. These include developing  strength training and guiding players with college recruitment.

As a coach he has worked with the
Addison Club (1997-1999), Holy Names Academy (1999-2001), Narrows Volleyball Club (2001-2003),
University Place Volleyball Club (2004-2010), Curtis High School (2013-2017) and 253 Elite Volleyball Club (2010-2019). He was a co-founder and director of both UPVBC and 253 Elite Volleyball Club.

Michael has coached several teams to the Junior Olympics, at all levels from American to the Open division. He also coached Curtis High School to state each year and won a state championship with Curtis High School in 2016. He is also a passionate beach volleyball coach and has developed and run beach programs in Gig Harbor for the past 5 years.

Currently resides on Fox Island.
